On 28 September 2003, the EASA began approving FAA Rotorcraft Flight Manuals. This is a binding law in all EU member nations, as stated in E.U. Reg. 1592/2002.
Operators of MD900 Series Helicopters registered in a European Union (EU) member nation are required to place the EASA approval page after the cover page in their flight manual. The EASA approval for each revision must be in place and reflected in the appropriate Flight Manual before the revision can be used.
Per EASA Executive Director Decision 2004/04/CF, dated 10/12/04, EASA will only need to approve RFM revisions that are Level 1 major design changes.
